Royal Air Maroc (AT) is planning to boost both cargo and passenger services out of Laâyoune, the capital of Western Sahara (also known as the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic) with the recent launch of flights to Gran Canaria and Royal Air Maroc Cargo flights from Dakar to Casablanca via Laâyoune set to begin in June 2013.

Moroccan national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (AT), during Summer 2013 season, will resume its Casablanca – Turin service, where it plans to operate 3 weekly flights effective 11 JUN13. RAM last operated this route in mid-January 2012.

► SENEGAL: Royal Air Maroc adds 3 extra weekly Casablanca - Dakar flights from April.
Moroccan national carrier Royal Air Maroc (AT) will from 10 April, boost its frequencies between Casablanca and Dakar, Senegal through the addition of 3 extra flights, bringing to 17 the number of weekly flights between the two cities.

AirlineRoute writes that Royal Air Maroc (AT), from 19APR13, will resume its service to Zurich, after an 18 month service suspension. The airline will operate a 3x weekly Casablanca – Zurich service on board a Boeing 737-700 aircraft.

■ GUINEA: Etihad Airways to serve Conakry via codeshare with Royal Air Maroc.
Etihad Airways (EY), the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has announced it will establish air links between the UAE and Guinea, in West Africa, by extending its existing code-share agreement with Moroccan national airline, Royal Air Maroc (AT).

Royal Air Maroc (AH) will, from 7 March 2013, start direct flights between Casablanca and Praia, Cape Verde Islands using either a Boeing 737-700 or

► MOROCCO: JetBlue, Royal Air Maroc sign interline deal.
After ending their 12-year-long code-share deal with Delta Airlines (DL) as their American code-share partner in June, Moroccan national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (AT), has moved on and today announced the signing of an interline deal with American LCC JetBlue Airways (B6).
The move will see a wider variety of flights being offered to each other's passengers, that were previously unavailable.

In a press statement today, Royal
Air Maroc (AT) announced it will start 3x weekly flights between the Spanish capital, Madrid, and the northern
Moroccan city of Tangier effective 11 October.
The flights will be operated with ATR72-600 aircraft.

The Senegalese press is reporting a bomb scare on-board a Royal Air Maroc Boeing 737-800 as it was about to depart from Dakar's Léopold Sédar Senghor (Yoff) International Airport early this morning, bound for the Moroccan city of Casablanca.

Moroccan national carrier RAM Royal Air Maroc (AT) will resume its discontinued Casablanca - London Gatwick service with a 3x weekly service from 27 March 2013. The Boeing 737-800 operated route will then increase to 10x weekly during Northern Summer 2013.

► MOROCCO: (Pics) Delivery of Royal Air Maroc's 787s deferred until late 2014.
Originally due in Q4 of this year, Morocco's national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (AT), will only, according to press reports, be taking delivery of its first two Boeing 787 Dreamliners in Q4 2014, which now means that Kenya Airways (KQ) will be the second African operator of the type after Ethiopian Airlines (ET), if their Boeing 787 order comes through in late 2013.

► MAURITANIA: New agreement to increase Nouakchott - Casablanca flights.
With the signing of a new Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) between Mauritania and Morocco last week, Mauritania Airlines International (L6) and Moroccan national carrier Royal Air Maroc (AT) will each be able to operate seven weekly flights between Nouakchott and Casablanca.
