Gabonese private carrier Afric Aviation (L8) is to take delivery of its first ATR72-200 to complement its current ATR42-300 reports Swiss aviation newswire, CH-Aviation.
The Port Gentil-based carrier services the two main cities of Gabon, Port Gentil and Libreville with plans to launch regional operations to Brazzaville, Pointe Noire in Congo (Brazzaville) and Luanda Angola.

Afric Aviation's local competition comes from Nationale Regionale Transport (NRG), who on 17 September 2012, "stated they had resumed operations following the renewal of their Air Operator Certificate (AOC)."
