Toumaï Air TchadToumaï Air Tchad (9D) has resumed limited operations using its ex-Georgian Star International (GST) B737-300 (MSN 24717 | TT-EAZ) for Hajj charter flights from N'Djamena to Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

The Chadian national carrier is also using a leased B747-200 for the duration of the pilgrimage. Flights are set to cease effective October 3. The airline's Fokker F28-400, (MCN 11204 | TT-EAS), is also stored at N'Djamena - Hassan Djamous International.

In July 2012, Toumaï Air Tchad, along with two other unspecified airlines, were grounded indefinitely by authorities in Ndjamena following a damning IATA audit report which uncovered serious safety shortcomings.

With the arrival of TT-EAZ in the country earlier this year, it was expected that operations would resume in due course however that never came to be.
