Having progressively reduced the frequency of flights over the last year, Egyptair (MS) has now announced that it will suspend flights from Cairo to Tokyo Narita airport with effect from July 11. The decision is likely exacerbated by the continuing political turmoil in Egypt. The carrier had threatened to axe Japan flights outright in February citing "poor loads and little to no government support for the flights," though subsequently relented.
