► SENEGAL: South African Airways' Johannesburg - New York goes via Dakar once more from late October.

SAA logoWith Summer on hand in the Southern Hemisphere, South African Airways (SA) has announced its daily outbound Johannesburg - New York JFK service will once more incorporate a stopover in Dakar, Senegal with effect from October 27. The inbound remains direct.

► UNITED STATES: JetBlue, South African Airways ink codeshare deal.

US-based domestic and regional carrier, JetBlue Airways (B6), and South African Airways (SA) have announced a bilateral codeshare agreement aimed at connecting the carriers’ networks via New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Washington’s Dulles International SAA logoAirport (IAD). While the agreement is still pending U.S. Department of Transport regulatory approval and subject to receipt of foreign government operating authority, it will allow customers to purchase a single ticket combining SAA and JetBlue-operated flights and is an expansion of an interline agreement first inked in 2010.

► UNITED STATES: Egyptair reduces Cairo - New York JFK ops for duration of April.

EgyptairEgyptair (MS), during the month of April 2013,  is temporarily reducing its Cairo – New York JFK operations, where overall service is being reduced from daily to 5 weekly. A Boeing 777-300ER aircraft operates on this route.

► MOROCCO: JetBlue, Royal Air Maroc sign interline deal.

Royal Air Maroc RAMAfter ending their 12-year-long code-share deal with Delta Airlines (DL) as their American code-share partner in June, Moroccan national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (AT),  has moved on and today announced the signing of an interline deal with American LCC JetBlue Airways (B6). 

JetBlueThe move will see a wider variety of flights being offered to each other's passengers, that were previously unavailable.

► MOROCCO: Royal Air Maroc, Delta Airlines drop code-share agreement.

Royal Air Maroc RAMWith effect from June 2012, American carrier Delta Airlines (DL) and Moroccan flag carrier Royal Air Maroc (AT) will cease their 12 year long code share agreement.
