►► ETHIOPIA: Ethiopian Airlines maintains Brussels, Paris from December; drops Munich plans.

[UPDATE 27 AUGUST] Ethiopian Airlines (ET) will tentatively begin serving Stockholm via Munich, Germany daily effective December 1. Flights will operate using a Boeing 757. Also from December 1, Brussels will be dropped from the Ethiopian national carrier's network leaving Paris CDG to be operated direct.

Currently, flights to Stockholm are currently forced to operate via Cairo as a technical stop on the Northbound, nonstop on Southbound, though this will be phased out with the introduction of Munich.

In addition, the airline from 01DEC13 will cancel service to Brussels from 01DEC13 (Last flight departs Addis Ababa on 30NOV13, Brussels on 01DEC13). Existing Addis Ababa – Paris CDG – Brussels service will change to Addis Ababa – Paris CDG.

[UPDATE 24 JULY] According to AirlineRoute, as per the 24JUL13 GDS timetable/inventory display, Ethiopian Airlines has cancelled planned service to Munich, previously due to start from 01DEC13. The Star Alliance member originally planned to operate a Addis Ababa – Munich – Stockholm route, however based on the latest changes, the airline will operate Addis Ababa – Stockholm on a nonstop basis in both directions.

Reservation for Munich service opened briefly from 11/12JUL13 till earlier this week.
 


[UPDATE 27 AUGUST] According to AirlineRoute, Ethiopian Airlines has reversed its plan to cancel its Brussels operations. As such the the 5x weekly Addis Ababa – Paris CDG – Brussels service will continue to operate on/after 01DEC13.
