► CONGO (KINSHASA): Air Kasaï due to take delivery of first ATR 72.

Air KasaiKinshasa-based Air Kasaï is planning to take delivery of its first, and the Democratic Republic of Congo's first, ATR72 (MSN 408 | 9Q-?) according to Skyliner.de. The delivery will mark the relaunch of the airline into the local and regional market.

Air Kasai ATR72Established in 1983 and formerly known as TAC - Transport Aerien Congo and TAZ - Transport Aerien Zairois, Air Kasaï is a Swedish owned company that operates scheduled, charter, regional, passenger and cargo services within the DRC and neighbouring countries from its main base at N'Dolo Airport, Kinshasa. In addition to its ATR72, the airline operates Shorts 360s, the Antonov An26 and the Antonov An2.

While the airline is on the List of air carriers banned in the European Union, it has enlisted Sabena Technics, Lanseria Jet Center and Pentagone Air Services to provide its MRO.
