Hong Kong SAR Secretary for Transport & Housing, Professor Anthony Cheung, signed on behalf of the Hong Kong Government with Seychellois Minister of Finance, Trade & Investment, Pierre Laporte, signing on behalf of his government.
"With the signing of the Agreement, we look forward to forging closer trade, economic and cultural relations with Seychelles. It is in line with our policy of progressive liberalization in air services between Hong Kong and our aviation partners," Professor Cheung said.
The agreement, the 62nd signed by Hong Kong, will promote economic development and cultural exchanges between the two places.

In a bid to woe more Chinese tourists, the Seychelles Government in May signed a visa waiver agreement with the People’s Republic of China, making Seychelles the first African country to have visa free travel for all passports with China. China has growing interests in the region having donated two surveillance aircraft and helped support the construction of a new Palais de Justice, Anse Royale hospital, housing and school projects.
