► ETHIOPIA: National Airways now eyeing a pair of ERJ135s for its fleet.

National Airways logoEthiopian private airline, National Airways (7N) has reportedly abandoned previously announced plans to acquire and operate Fokker 50s and Embraer EMB-170s, and now has its sights set on Embraer ERJ-135s instead. 

According to the airline's site, it now intends to acquire two of the jets though has not alluded to their intended use. National also offers private & government charters and an air ambulance service using its two Pilatus PC-12s, a Eurocopter EC139 and a Beech 1900D.

It has also reportedly offered a single scheduled weekly flight to Hargeisa (Somaliland) set to be extended to Djibouti.
