Speaking to South Africa's Tourism Update, Mukuba Airlines CEO Mwansa Chalwe said his carrier was in the process of acquiring its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the Zambian Department of Civil Aviation having already obtained its Air Service Permit (ASP) from the Ministry of Transport.

Commercial director, Phiri Davies said, using a mixed fleet of three ATR42-500s and ATR72-500s, Mukuba plans to operate exclusively domestic flights out of Livingstone:
....the primary focus will be on domestic routes between Livingstone, Lusaka, Ndola, Mfuwe, Chipata, Mansa and Solwezi. “We hope to cover all the provincial centres of Zambia depending on the works being done on the airports in Zambia, like Kasaba Bay on Lake Tanganyika. Eventually we will do regional routes after we establish our market base.
