► MALAWI: Presidential Jet sold to Bohnox Enterprises of the British Virgin Islands for $15mln.

Malawi flagMalawi's presidential jet, a 15-year-old Dassault Falcon 900-EX (MSN 38 | 7Q-ONE), has been sold to Bohnox Enterprises of the British Virgin Islands for USD15million .

In an announcement made today, the Malawian government said Bohnox had beaten out General Aviation Services from the US and African Dune Investments from South Africa in the battle to acquire the jet.
"We have accepted their offer and we are waiting to hear from them," Cabinet clerk Ernest Katchetche said in a statement on Tuesday.

The 15-year-old Dassault Falcon 900-EX had been described as being in "perfect flying condition".

Originally bought by incumbent Joyce Banda's predecessor, Bingu wa Mutharika for USD22million in 2009, the jet had carried a USD20million minimum bid tag.
