► SOUTH AFRICA: Solenta Aviation attains Flight Safety Foundation's GOLD status; announces further Mozambican investments.

South Africa's Solenta Aviation has recently been awarded GOLD status by the Flight Safety Foundation after holding GREEN status for 3 consecutive years, becoming just the third company in the world to achieve such Safety and Quality recognition. In addition, the operator has announced the acquisition of a stake in CFA Mozambique SA which has now been renamed Solenta Aviation Mozambique.

Developed by the Flight Safety Foundation, the Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) is the single aviation safety standard for the resource sector and uses a new risk‐based model framed around the actual threats to aviation operations and directly linking these to associated controls and recovery/mitigation measures.

The conferment of GOLD status comes as Solenta, an approved supplier to the Oil and Gas industry, works for several of the world’s top oil companies, having met the standards of the OGP AMP and other audit requirements. The Solenta AMO (Approved Maintenance Organisation) holds ISO 9001:2008 approval.

Solenta AviationMeanwhile, Solenta Aviation's parent Group earlier this year acquired a stake in CFA Mozambique SA and has renamed and re-branded the company as Solenta Aviation Mozambique. The investment and name change is in keeping with this new and exciting association development, now falling under the Solenta franchise.

Solenta Aviation Mozambique intends to introduce newer bigger aircraft in the coming months, from its fleet of ERJ145LRs, ATRs and B1900Ds. The existing Mozambique management and team will remain in place with the operational, safety and quality support of Solenta Aviation.

Solenta Aviation Mozambique remain committed to providing a quality, safe and secure service within Mozambique for all aviation needs from leisure flights, island and remote location transfers to corporate charters and other specialised aviation requirements such as oil, gas and mining related contracts.

CFA will remain a sales agent (GSA) for Solenta Aviation Mozambique.
