► SIERRA LEONE: Allied Air Cargo begins once weekly Ostend to Freetown via Lagos flights.

Allied Air Cargo logoNigeria's Allied Air Cargo (4W) have launched a new weekly Ostend to Freetown, Sierra Leone flight via Lagos Nigeria. The maiden flight was launched on May 11.

According to the airline, flight 4W2615 will operate every Saturday using a McDonnell Douglas MD11(F).

Founded in 1998, Allied Air is a cargo airline based in Lagos, Nigeria. It operates scheduled and charter services in Nigeria and throughout Africa. Out of its main base at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, the airline operates two B727-200Fs, one B737-400F and three MD 11Fs. Customers that currently rely on Allied Air include DHL Aviation, MTN, Halliburton, the British Embassy and the UNHCR. A number of government agencies also use Allied Air, including the Central Bank of Nigeria who have entrusted us with the air movement of high security cargo.
