■ CONGO (BRAZZAVILLE): Equatorial Congo Airlines selects Zodiac's Rave IFE system for its 757s.

Zodiac Aerospace logoZodiac Aerospace has announced that Equatorial Congo Airlines (LC), the Brazzaville-based Congolese operator, has selected Zodiac Inflight Innovations' Rave Inflight Entertainment (IFE) System to be installed on its two B757-200 aircraft.

► FRANCE: Equatorial Congo Airlines has begun a weekly Pointe Noire - Paris CDG service.

Equatorial Airlines CongoBrazzaville-based carrier Equatorial Congo Airlines, better known as EC Air Congo (LC), on June 29, launched a weekly service connecting the Congolese petroleum hub of Pointe Noire with Paris CDG using a B757-200. EC Air also connects Brazzaville with the French capital.

Equatorial Airlines CongoAs previously reported by The African Aviation Tribune, Congolese private carrier Equatorial Congo Airlines, better known as EC Air Congo (LC), last week Friday 24 August, inaugurated its first international route: a 3x weekly Brazzaville, Congo - Paris (Charles de Gaulle) service using a Boeing 757-200 leased from Switzerland's PrivatAir.

► CONGO (BRAZZAVILLE): New airline Equatorial Congo Airlines' B757 leaves the paint shop.

Equatorial Airlines CongoEquatorial Congo Airlines (LC) has a new B752 bird sporting their exotic green based livery, though don't count on seeing it anywhere in Europe anytime soon, as they are unfortunately on the EU's Banned Carriers List.

At present, the only route flown is intra-national - between Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire - so hopefully the arrival of this new equipment brings hope for better things to come.
