► MOZAMBIQUE: LAM Mozambique getting a B737-500, but cash crunch delays launch of international routes.

LAM Mozambique AirlinesMozambican national carrier LAM Mozambique (TM) is, at the end of this month, to receive a Boeing 737-500 (likely MSN: 25418 | ZS-PKV), in addition to its third and final Embraer E190 due in late October/early November, as the carrier moves to consolidate itself domestically and regionally writes the Mozambican national daily, O País.

► TANZANIA: LAM Mozambique to increase Maputo - Dar Es Salaam flights from November.

LAM Mozambique AirlinesMozambican national carrier Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique, better known as LAM Mozambique Airlines (TM), has, via the Agência de Informação de Moçambique (the official Mozambique News Agency), announced it is to increase the frequency of its Embraer 190 operated flights between Maputo, Mozambique and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 2x weekly, to 3x weekly.

► MOZAMBIQUE: LAM likely to restart Maputo - Harare from October 2012.

LAM Mozambique AirlinesLinhas Aéreas de Moçambique, better known as LAM Mozambique Airlines (TM), is to tentatively re-establish twice weekly flights on Wednesday and Sunday to Harare from Maputo via Beira using its DHC-8-400, with effect from 27 October 2012, though the reports are unconfirmed as yet.

The airline last served Harare in the early 2000s, but then dropped the service due to the downturn in the Zimbabwean economy.

► RWANDA: Bombardier's Q400 roadshow ends in Kigali.

BombardierCanadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier Aerospace has just concluded its tour in Africa showcasing its successful Q400 turboprop aircraft, having started in West Africa, before coming to East and Southern Africa, in hopes of attracting potential customers.
