As part of its route rationalization initiative, Réunion-based carrier, Air Austral (UU), will terminate its now weekly St. Denis de la Reunion – Seychelles
service with effect from June 5.

It is uncertain if and when any potential service will resume. However, Air Austral has announced plans to use nascent carrier, Ewa, to develop a regional Indocéanie hub out of Dzaoudzi, Mayotte, which could conceivably include flights to the Seychelles at some stage in the future.
