Government mouthpiece, The Herald, reports that Zimbabwe's Minister of Transport, Communications and Infrastructural Development, Nicholas Goche, confirmed the development in a statement saying that the Zimbabwean national carrier now conforms to IATA's minimum operational safety, efficiency and quality benchmarks as observed by operators worldwide.

The move now paves the way for a tentative resumption of international flights.

The national airline was de-registered from IATA's IOSA registry in September 2012 after it initial IOSA was temporarily stopped owing to an industrial strike.
