■ BOTSWANA: Air Botswana begins process of finding a new GM after Mphi Tlhomelang passes.

Following the recent passing of its late Acting General Manager, Ms Mphi Tlhomelang, Air Botswana (BP) has once more begun the process of finding a replacement. Ms Tlhomelang had only been in the position for two months after the resignation of previous GM, Sakhile Nyoni-Reiling, earlier this year.

According to the Batswana national carrier, the incumbent should be a " business-oriented strategic thinker" who will provide strategic leadership to a team of management executives while turning the airline into an "efficient, dependable and highly competitive regional outfit with potential for long-haul capability." 

Once appointed, the new GM will be responsible for maintaining the airline's IOSA certificate and ensuring compliance to IATA, ICAO, and CAAB (Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana) benchmarks.
