► NIGERIA: Saudia Cargo boosts Hong Kong - Lagos flights on back of strong demand.

Saudia CargoSaudi Airlines cargo division, Saudia Cargo (SV), has announced that it will add one additional weekly flight on its Hong Kong - Lagos route effective March 2013. Overall, the increase will result in there being 9 weekly flights from Hong Kong and 8 to Lagos, its West African hub.

We are increasing capacity on these routes on the request of our clients in Hong Kong and Bangladesh,” commented Peter Scholten, VP Commercial at Saudia Cargo. “We are upgrading our weekly B747 freighter services in Hong Kong to a strong product by offering 3 direct flights to Lagos and 6 direct flights to Europe. Of course all flights make commercial stops at our hubs in Saudi Arabia from where we connect to other destinations in our network.

The new schedule will take effect from March 2013.

Saudia Cargo operates scheduled freighter services with 13 freighters and sells the belly-capacity on 145 passenger aircraft for Saudi Arabia’s flag carrier Saudia, spanning a global network of 225 destinations.
