► ETHIOPIA: Ethiopian announces 787 operational changes for Q1 2013.

EthiopianOnline aviation resource AirlineRoute states that Ethiopian Airlines (ET) is to apply further changes to its planned Boeing 787 operation over the coming three months.

Ethiopian Airlines (ET): Addis Ababa – Harare – Lusaka – Addis Ababa
  • Boeing 787 operates Days 13567 instead of daily from 27 January 2013 (Day 24 operated by 777-200LR; Service until 26 January 2013 operates with a mix of 767/777/787)
Addis Ababa – Johannesburg 
  • Boeing 787 operation extended beyond 16 January 2013, replacing 767 (15 January 2013 operated by 777-200LR)
Addis Ababa – Toronto 
  • Boeing 787 operating once again from 15 January 2013 as planned, twice a week (westbound via Rome)
Addis Ababa – Washington DC 
  • Boeing 787 operating once again from 31 January 2013 as planned, 5 times a week (westbound via Rome)

Termination of Boeing 787 service

Addis Ababa – Beijing 
  • Boeing 787 operates until 31 January 2013 as planned
Addis Ababa – Dubai
  • Boeing 787 operates on ET600/601 until 09 January 2013 on Day 1256 (until 10 January 2013 from DXB on Day 2367)
Addis Ababa – Mumbai 
  • Boeing 787 operation has been replaced by Boeing 767-300ER since 1 January 2013
Addis Ababa – Frankfurt
  • Boeing 787 daily operation remains unchanged
